We've pulled together a team of top commentators to lead the conversation, but it is meant to be a conversation. Between all of us. We want your contributions. Sure, that means commenting on the blogs and features you find here, but it's more than just that.

On our homepage you'll see that the post below this one was by Hayden Wilson. Hayden's not a journalist or commentator. He's a lawyer who has just joined Pundit, but he has some expertise to offer. He's written a great piece on a little-discussed aspect of the Electoral Finance Act. Check it out. We want you to do the same.

You might have noticed on our membership page that we're made room for you to contribute in a range of ways.

Your Punt: Are you an expert on something, or do you have a strong, well-informed opinion? Write us a piece of smart commentary. Are you a citizen journalist? Send us a news article. This is the place we leave the stage to you guys. Stories should be 100-800 words long.

Counter Column: Disagree with a piece of commentary you’ve read elsewhere? Write a rebuttal for Pundit. Just remember, we don’t want personal attacks or rants. We want reasoned arguments supported by verifiable facts. That means a little research and thought, my friends. Again, 100-800 well-chosen words.

Top Spot: You have a favourite place in the whole wide world? Tell us about it in 100-800 words. Where is it? Why do you love it? What do you do there? How did you discover it? Remember, this isn’t a tourist brochure, it’s a yarn between friends, so write it that way. And include a photo or two.
