NZ On Screen kicks off
Relive your favourite Kiwi tv moments on NZ on Air's new, free, chockful of memories, site of great New Zealand TV
I've just spotted Russell's post on Public Address about NZ On Screen, and thought I should let you know about it. The website is part of New Zealand on Air's digital strategy and officially launches tomorrow (although it's love now).
The sites creator's say, "NZ On Screen is unlocking the treasure chest, providing access to the wealth of television, film, music video and new media produced in NZ, along with knowledgeable background information".
And that's got to be a good thing. You can search for NZ on Air funded television by actor, director, producer, show... you name it. It's easy to move around and, really, who amongst us can resist the opportunitu of indulging our nostalgia gene with clips from the likes of After School and McPhail and Gadsy.
I've just had quick squiz, and spotted the after school shows from the 70s, Nice one (Nice one, Stu-yyyy). That brings back memories – and dates me! Russell highlights the first episode of Gloss.
Great project, go enjoy, share with friends. And let us know your favourites.
